Northern Ontario is paradise for people who enjoy hunting, fishing, birding, or wildlife photography and viewing. Our cabins are available to rent by hunters in the fall. In the area you can hunt for:
- Wild Turkey
- Moose
- White Tail Deer
- Black Bear
- Small Game Waterfowl
- Ducks, Geese and Grouse
Fishing is a huge sport in Northern Ontario. You can catch:
Croppie, Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, and Muskie.
Croppie
Legions of anglers call crappies the number one panfish, but this certainly isn't the only moniker attached to the species. There are many other colorful nicknames abound. Throughout most of the United States, the name is pronounced just as it is spelled. But north of the border, the name is pronounced "croppie."
Listed below are the most commonly seen animals and flora in the area and some not so commonly seen.
